These have got to be the WORST thing possible to ingest at any given moment on any given day EXCEPT for Christmas Eve morning. Sorry, all calories are exempt over the holidays...I just wish my skinny jeans got the memo.
So utterly delish, I just have to share the recipe though I'm sure you'll hate me for it:
2 tubes large refrigerated biscuits (I use the flaky ones)
1 C. brown sugar, packed
1/2 C. corn syrup
1/2 C. butter
1 C. pecans, chopped (and optional though these are the ONLY healthy ingredient listed)
cinnamon sugar (okay, cinnamon is supposed to lower your blood pressure, so that's healthy too)
1) In a saucepan combine brown sugar, corn syrup and butter; cook and stir until sugar is dissolved. Add pecans. Spoon mixture into a greased 9x13 pan.
2) Cut biscuits in half and roll in cinnamon sugar. Place cut side down on sugar mixture.
3) Bake at 375 for 25-30 mins. Invert onto cookie sheet.
I dare you to just eat one.
